Medicinal Nutrition (public)

Articles
Medicinal nutrition is a nutritional approach to apply dietary changes and food

supplementation in medical conditions to enhance the healing process and support the body. It is an adjuvant strategy to conventional medical treatments.

Medicinal nutrition stems from the fact that nutrient deficiencies may increase the risk of developing certain diseases and that providing the body with nutraceuticals has physiological benefits.

It is a component of “complementary medicine” that combines the science of nutrition with conventional medicine to accelerate the healing process of current medical conditions and provide protection against chronic diseases.

This section is updated on a “daily basis”. Since medicine is a dynamic science and not all research findings are evidence – based, the information might sometimes be controversial. We encourage you to be critical and selective.
