Darts is a form of throwing sport in which a player throws small darts (missiles) at a circular dartboard fixed to a wall. The standard dartboard is 18 inches in diameter and contains 20 pie-shaped and numbered segments of equal size with the bull's eye in the center.
This sport has many variants which may have variations in rules and scoring systems. It is played either individually between two players or as a team. Each player or team takes turn throwing three darts in sequence. Even though this sport is not an Olympic sport, it has World Championship competitions since 1978.
