It is a type of cue sport in which a player strikes the cue ball (the white ball) to pot the remaining colored balls in the correct sequence into the four pockets located at the corners of a rectangular table covered with a green cloth. A player accumulates points for each pot and the winner is the player who has accumulated the most points.
There are some differences between snooker, billiard and pool. Even though snooker is not an Olympic sport, the World Snooker Championship competitions are being taken place since 1927.
