Croquet is a form of sport in which a player hits plastic or wooden balls with mallets through hoops (also called wickets) implanted in a playing field. When playing croquet, the goal is to pass a ball through all hoops. There are few variations of croquet: Association Croquet (also known as International Rules), American Rules Croquet (American Six-Wicket Croquet), Nine-Wicket Croquet, Garden Croquet, Golf Croquet and few other varieties.
A croquet ball is 9.2 cm in diameter and weighs one pound. A croquet mallet weighs about 3 pounds. Depending on the skill and speed of the players and the variation of croquet, a game may last 1- 4 hours.
